Tickets are now on sale for the Mineral City Celebration gala sponsored by the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach and benefiting numerous Northeast Florida charities. Tickets may be purchased online at mineralcitycelebration.com.

This year’s Mineral City Celebration will be held May 13 at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa. It will feature a “Rat Pack” theme. Guests will be transported back in time to 1960s Las Vegas, when Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and their friends held court at The Copa Room in The Sands Hotel.

In addition to cocktails and dinner, the evening will include entertainment by nationally acclaimed Frank Sinatra tribute artist Michael Dutra. The gala will also feature the “Luck Be a Lady Silent Auction,” “It Was a Very Good Year Wine Pull” and “Let’s Get Away From It All Raffle” for a luxury trip to Italy, Ireland, Las Vegas, Hawaii or Belize.

Tickets for the trip raffle may be purchased on the event website.

Honoring Tony Boselli

A special highlight of the gala will be the presentation of the 2023 Rock of the Community Award to Jacksonville Jaguars legend and Ponte Vedra Beach resident Tony Boselli. A 2022 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, Boselli will be honored for his devotion to the First Coast and his philanthropic efforts through The Boselli Foundation, which provides educational support and professional development for local youth and teachers.

“Tony Boselli is a true champion for local kids and families,” said Rotary Club President Dr. Ronald “Doc” Renuart. “The Rotary Club created the Rock of the Community Award to recognize individuals who dedicate themselves to making a positive impact on Ponte Vedra Beach and the First Coast, and both on and off the field, Tony Boselli is amply deserving of this honor.”

The Mineral City Celebration is the signature annual fundraising event for the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach. Proceeds from the event have benefited more than two dozen local nonprofit organizations and charities, including the Beaches Dial-a-Ride program, Mission House, BEAM, HEAL, the Council on Aging, PACE Center for Girls, Boys & Girls Clubs, K9s for Warriors and more.
