Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida, along with its national organization, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, debuted its newest advertising campaign this week featuring a narration by club alum and national spokesperson Jennifer Lopez.

Jacksonville was one of two trial markets chosen by the national organization to see the new campaign’s impact on increasing understanding and awareness of the positive outcomes that change kids’ lives at Boys & Girls Clubs.

Boys & Girls Clubs help kids achieve great futures by providing a safe and fun space, an engaging club experience and caring professionals to guide them along the way. As a leading youth development organization, Boys & Girls Clubs see the possibility in every young person and are committed to being a voice and a resource for America’s youth.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida have been a cornerstone of the community since opening its doors in 1966. Serving some 5,000 youth annually, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida provides a safe, structured and positive environment for young people after school, during holidays and summer vacation in Duval and St. Johns counties.

There are currently 25 Boys and Girls Club sites throughout Northeast Florida, and plans are in the works to eventually have two state-of-the-art teen centers in Springfield and in Arlington. These centers will provide teens quality programming, a variety of activities and entrepreneurial skills to meet their needs and give them something productive to do after school.

“Boys & Girls Clubs have served our community for more than 50 years, providing a safe space and caring mentors for young people,” said Paul Martinez, president and CEO for Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida. “This new campaign shows the general public the magic that happens inside a club, and the impact that a caring professional can have on the trajectory of a kid’s life. Youth need a positive place to go after school and during the summer to grow beyond the classroom, and we provide that space to grow, succeed and achieve a great future.”

The new advertising campaign and PSA focuses on the impact that Boys & Girls Clubs youth development professionals can have on a young person’s life. Boys & Girls Clubs are one of the only after-school organizations that has paid dedicated professionals with youth development training that devote their careers to ensuring that kids have every opportunity available to them.
