Jazz on the River events are Oct. 30, Nov. 27

A brand-new fall event will take place on the last Sunday of the month in October and November at Riverfront Park, 100 Memorial Pkwy., Palatka.

Jazz on the River, sponsored by Ancient City Entertainment, Visit Palatka, Beck Automotive Group and Putnam County Tourist Development Council, will welcome Let’s Ride Brass Band on Oct. 30 and Ulysses Owens Jr. and Friends on Nov. 27. Both events are family-friendly, free and run from 4:30 to 8 p.m.

“The weather will be getting cooler and there’s nothing better than enjoying live music along the St. Johns River,” said Jeanetta Cebollero, co-owner of Ancient City Entertainment. “These free, all ages events will also feature food trucks, vendors and a VIP wine tasting experience. Bring your chairs and blankets because last Sundays in fall means the river is the place to be.”

VIP wine tasting experience is optional for $10 in advance per event or $15 day-of. Tickets can be purchased at eventbrite.com/e/jazz-on-the-river-palatka-tickets-407128601607?aff=ebdssbdestsearch.

‘Beyond Van Gogh’ extended through Nov. 27

Due to the high demand and immense popularity of “Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience,” the event will extend its stay at the NoCo Center through Nov. 27. Tickets are available at vangoghjacksonville.com.

Visitors will be completely immersed in more than 300 of the greatest works of post-Impressionist artist Vincent Van Gogh. In this unusual exhibit, the art is liberated from its two-dimensional limitations into a three-dimensional experience that exhilarates every sense and brings to life one of the most influential artists the world has known.
“Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience” has sold over 4 million tickets globally, making it one of the most popular current traveling exhibitions.

NoCo Center is located at 119 W. Beaver St., Jacksonville
