Chamber Economic Development Council breakfast focuses on transportation

Posted

The St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Council (EDC) hosted its quarterly breakfast on Jan. 25 at the World Golf Hall of Fame at World Golf Village. Transportation trends, near-term projects and the role of transportation in economic development were discussed by Jeff Sheffield, executive director of North Florida Transportation Planning Organization (NFTPO).

“Transportation goes beyond building roads,” Chamber President and CEO Isabelle Renault said. “We need to focus on using technology and data sharing to increase mobility in order to increase efficiency without having to invest more heavily in major construction infrastructure.”

The next EDC quarterly breakfast will be Friday, April 26, at Shell Hall inside the World Golf Hall of Fame at World Golf Village. Jason Barrett, CEO and president of Flagler Health+, will be the keynote speaker. He will discuss changes to the healthcare enterprise and the healthcare industry.
