Chamber members urged to take the PLEDGE to follow CDC guidelines

Posted

Dear Members,

We encourage you to take the PLEDGE. This new initiative developed by the St. Johns County Recovery Task Force urges businesses to commit to following CDC guidelines so that residents, visitors and employees feel safe.

Named the healthiest county in Florida for the 9th year in a row, St. Johns County took COVID-19 seriously from day one, never became a “hotspot,” and will continue its efforts to remain a safe and healthy community. By taking the Pledge local businesses not only highlight their establishment and our community as safe for residents but also for visitors travelling to our destination and for new businesses and residents considering relocating here.

The guidelines include cleaning and disinfecting protocols, group size limitations, social distancing recommendations, enhanced employee protocols and training, and to encourage the use of face coverings by staff and customers.

Businesses can visit www.pledgesjc.com now to take the Pledge and receive a toolkit of display materials to signify that they took the Pledge. Pledging businesses will be recognized on the Pledge St. Johns County website directory.

The Pledge is a collaborative initiative from the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce, St. Johns County Government, the City of St. Augustine, the City of St. Augustine Beach, and the St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra & the Beaches Visitors and Convention Bureau, all members of the the St. Johns County Recovery Task Force.
