Chico’s fashions and accessories will be modeled at the Coastal Friends luncheon on March 1 at Marsh Landing Country Club, 25655 Marsh Landing Parkway, Ponte Vedra Beach. The luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Coastal Friends Sail Into Spring In Style.”
Coastal Friends members Donna Berger, Barbara Busby, Bonnie Chandler, Debra Dooney, Lynn Medis, Helen Perry, Nancy Scott and Jeanne Stevens will model Chico’s clothing. Linda Fazio, Chico’s manager, will moderate the event.
The luncheon is open to the community, members and guests of Coastal Friends. The cost to attend is $25. Reservations must be made in advance to reserve a seat by contacting the luncheon chairman at bartshar@comcast.net as soon as possible. The deadline to sign up and get your check in is Feb. 24. The luncheon menu will consist of field green salad with house vinaigrette, apple-glazed chicken with Yukon mashed potatoes and asparagus, and cheesecake.
Coastal Friends (formerly known as Newcomers Alumnae) is a social group of women who live in Ponte Vedra Beach, Nocatee, Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, Atlantic Beach, St. Augustine and the surrounding area. It was formed in 1988.
Some of activities offered are adventures and outings, book club, bunco, canasta and canasta lessons, happy hour, lunch in, lunch out, mahjongg and wine socials. Luncheons are held on the first Wednesday of every month except for July and August. New members are welcome throughout the year.
