Civic association collects gifts for holiday drive

Posted

The South Ponte Vedra Civic Association recently collected gifts for the St. John’s County Fire and Rescue toy drive. This year, the firefighters sponsored 300 families, including more than 700 children and teens. At their monthly Second Friday Social, members showed their generosity by filling a huge box to overflowing with gifts for teens, as well as younger children.
The toy drive is just one of the things that the association supports. It has a monthly focused donation program, which has collected specific items for organizations, such as Port in the Storm, St. Francis House, Council on Aging and St. John’s County Ecumenical Food Pantry, just to name a few. Members have helped to make a difference in their own community for years and plan on continuing this tradition going forward.
