Beaches Fine Arts Series will present 17-year-old Daniela Liebman, Mexican concert pianist, in a free concert 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at St. Paul’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church. The doors of the church at 1150 N. 5th St., Jacksonville Beach will open at 6:45 p.m., with seating first come, first served. A reception will follow the concert, with a beautiful art exhibit by Michele D. Lee. This concert is sponsored by Publix Super Market Charities.
About Daniela Liebman
The teenage Mexican pianist has rapidly established herself as an artist of eloquence, poise, and nuance, since her debut at age eight with the Aguascalientes Symphony. Liebman has performed with more than 25 orchestras on four continents. In 2016 and 2017, she was named one of the “40 Most Creative Mexicans in the World” by Forbes Mexico. In 2018, she was again named one of Forbes Mexico’s “100 Most Creative and Powerful Women,” and was invited to Forbes’ reveal of its 2018 edition of Creativos Mexicanos, celebrating extraordinary Mexican leaders in the arts. She has been interviewed by Amy Poehler’s “Smart Girls,” is featured in GQ Mexico and Vanity Fair, and is the recipient of Mexico’s 2014 Nacional Premio de Juventud.
Committed to sharing her love of music with others, Daniela frequently participates in talkbacks with piano students of all ages and backgrounds, and will conduct several classes during her time in residence with BFAS. Her dedication to celebrating her heritage through creative programming reflects in her musical and cultural ambassadorship, notably at Harvard University’s 2018 Mexico Conference.
Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Daniela began piano studies at age five, and currently studies with Dr. Tamás Ungár in Fort Worth, Texas. Aside from practicing, the teen enjoys films, reading, biking and trying different cuisines.
