The third annual Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS presented by Circle K is set to take place Oct. 6-8 at Timuquana Country Club. Tickets are available at constellationfurykandfriends.com/tickets.

Fan Experience

The Hangar Bar, an open-air, shaded refreshment zone, offers fans a fun location to grab a Captain Morgan or Don Julio cocktail near the 7th green. New this year at the Hangar, fans can receive a Club Champion putter fitting experience.

Established in 2010, Club Champion has grown from a regional three-studio fitting business to a trusted golf club fitting expert with locations in every major golf market nationwide offering tour-level fittings designed by master fitter and builder Nick Sherburne, the company’s founder.

At the Hangar, fans will have the opportunity to work with a Club Champion master fitter to dial in length, loft, lie, head shape, grip and more.

“Club Champion has been a great partner and is an industry leader,” said tournament co-host and PGA TOUR great Jim Furyk. “I loved my club fitting earlier this year, and we know that our fans are going to really enjoy this experience. The tournament is going to have something for everyone again this year, and whether you are a beginner just learning the game or an experienced golfer looking for some advice on putting, you will be excited to experience Club Champion’s services and technology at the Hangar Bar.”

With drinks, putting, TacoLu, VyStar Patriot’s Outpost and the Circle K ParTee Porch right next door, the Hangar will be a go-to location.

Community Impact

Last year, Wolfson Children’s Hospital launched a new program called Family Links to help connect families with resources to promote children’s health and well-being. Family Links is a child- and family-centered support program, made possible by The Jim & Tabitha Furyk Foundation, that addresses health-related social conditions impacting the quality of children’s health.

Since that announcement, 990 individuals have been approved for health insurance coverage, with more than 1,355 individuals receiving SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) assistance. Additionally, 50 families have been helped with housing needs, including rent and utilities assistance, while 52 families were provided help with clothing needs, diapers and other items.

More than 200 emergency food bags have been distributed to feed families in need of food. The Jim & Tabitha Furyk Foundation recently held an emergency food drive at Timuquana Country Club with its members to provide 100 additional food bags to the Family Links program.

“We are so proud to have partnered with Wolfson Children’s Hospital to create this wonderful program,” said tournament co-host Tabitha Furyk. "The funds generated from Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS provide families who are desperate for assistance with a resource navigator to assist with food, housing, insurance, clothing, jobs, health care, transportation and more."

Competition

In addition to tournament host Jim Furyk, several players with local connections have committed to this year’s event, including former University of Florida stars Chris DiMarco and Mark Calcavecchia, Jacksonville’s David Duval, Ponte Vedra resident Vijay Singh and PGA TOUR rookie Tim O’Neal from Savannah.

Calcavecchia has recorded 13 PGA TOUR wins in his career, including the 1989 Open Championship at Royal Troon, and four victories on PGA TOUR Champions.

A three-time PGA TOUR winner, DiMarco is known for going toe-to-toe with Tiger Woods down the stretch at the 2005 Masters and 2006 Open Championship.

With 13 career PGA TOUR victories, including the 1999 PLAYERS Championship and 2001 Open Championship, Duval is a Jacksonville golf legend. He grew up playing Timuquana Country Club while his father was the head golf professional from 1974 to 1987. Duval will be in search of his first PGA TOUR Champions victory when he tees it up at this year’s Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS presented by Circle K.

Singh’s hall-of-fame career resume includes 34 PGA TOUR wins, 22 international victories and three major championships. He’s added four more victories since joining PGA TOUR Champions, including a three-win season in 2018. Singh will be making his third appearance at the Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS presented by Circle K.

O’Neal has won on numerous tours and encountered numerous close calls at PGA TOUR Q-School but earned his PGA TOUR Champions card with a T3 finish at PGA TOUR Champions Q-School in December. He is enjoying a solid rookie season on the over-50 circuit with one top-10 and four top-25s in 13 events played.

Sparked by a $500,000 direct donation from Constellation, the tournament title sponsor, the 2022 Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS presented by Circle K generated more than $1.34 million for North Florida charities. Ticket sales play a large role in supporting the tournament’s ability to generate this incredible impact for local community charities.

Constellation’s funding supports several deserving North Florida charities including the MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation, First Tee – North Florida, Blessings in a Backpack, St. Johns Riverkeeper and Beaches Habitat for Humanity. The tournament also benefits a number of other local organizations during the year including Wolfson Children’s Hospital, Operation Shower, Jacksonville Humane Society, Hope for the Holidays, Operation Hero, K9s United, Guardian ad Litem Foundation, Guardian Catholic School and many more.
