Emergency crews responded to a multi-vehicle crash at 6:33 a.m. Thursday on State Road A1A North in the area of the south entrance to Guana State Park. All lanes were closed until shortly after noon and both northbound and southbound traffic was being directed to make a U-turn.
Citing reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, media outlets are reporting that two Jacksonville men, both age 29, were killed in the crash. Authorities say their vehicle was traveling south when it crossed the center line, hitting another vehicle head-on.
All lanes are now open.
