The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach will commemorate the formal arts opening launch of the link from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, July 15.
The link, located at 425 Town Plaza Ave. in Nocatee, is designed for adults and children to learn-play-think-do and participate in activities that follow a wide variety of art and education themes.
In March, Raghu Misra, the link’s founder and innovator, and Donna Guzzo, Cultural Center president and executive director, announced their collaboration to create imaginative and cultural events for children, adults and families at the new, technologically advanced building designed to service startups, small businesses, individuals and their families.
“Our goal is to create a place for innovation and the arts, and to showcase a myriad of activities,” said Guzzo. “On July 15, we’ve scheduled family-friendly events to appeal to an extensive variety of interests.”
Throughout the link building, a full day of activities will feature Cultural Center members and staff with poetry readings, artists painting and displaying their work with live demonstrations, ballet dancers and opera singers in performance. The Mi Son Salsa band will perform, as will musicians from a variety of music genres. There will also be fashion shows, speakers, exhibits, displays and more.
Additionally, the Cultural Center will produce ongoing exhibitions at the link with local, regional, national and international artists, events, art classes, lectures, workshops and children’s programming to include summer and winter camps, after-school programs and adult programming among the many opportunities to bring artistic life to the region.
Guzzo said, “The link is paving the way for a partnership that is visionary. There is a natural fit between both our organizations as we want to nurture creativity and originality.”
