Ponte Vedra Ballet & Dance Company dancers have had an active year.

Highlights have included winter workshops alongside Movement Migration founder and former Martha Graham dancer Kim Jones, as well as Ballet Detroit’s Ballet Master and Artistic Director Sergey Rayevskiy. The company is looking forward to summer dance intensives with guest artists including dancer/choreographer Rasta Thomas, Brittany Butler, Eivar Martinez, Daniel Fetecua-Soto, Watershed Dance Theater Artistic Director Sarah Emery and Movement Migration dancers Dominique Wills and Nya Bowman.

“All of us at Ponte Vedra Ballet & Dance Company are so delighted to be able to present our dancers to top-tier training,” said Dawn Wolf, owner and artistic director of Ponte Vedra Ballet & Dance Company.

Many Ponte Vedra Ballet dance students will be traveling around the nation this summer to study at the various large, professional conservatories. Alexandra Willis will be attending Miami City Ballet, was accepted to the American Ballet Theatre and was placed on the waitlist for the School of American Ballet. Emily Shende will be studying at Bolshoi Connecticut and was accepted to Joffrey Ballet in New York City. Madison Brown will be attending Koresh Dance Company in Philadelphia, while Margaret Ivantsov has been accepted to both Alvin Alley and Joffrey Ballet in New York City and will be attending Joffrey’s Miami program. Former Ponte Vedra Ballet and Dance Company students Kieryn Brophy will be attending Ellison Ballet in New York City, and Mallory Merritt will be attending Kirov Ballet in Washington, D.C.

Summer dance intensives and children’s camps, open to the public, run from June 10 to August. Visit pvballet.com, follow the company on Instagram @pontevedraballet or call (904) 859-2223 for more information.
