The Ponte Vedra Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) hosted a luncheon Nov. 7 to honor Vietnam veterans who are in some way affiliated with their chapter. The keynote speaker was Tony D’Aleo, president of Chapter 1046 of the Vietnam Veterans of America who served in the U.S.M.C. from 1966 to 1970.
The honorees were given a certificate and a lapel pin with the engraving, “A Grateful Nation Thanks and Honors You” embossed on the back side.
At the luncheon a separate “Missing Man” table was set in remembrance of the 58,281 men and women who lost their lives in Vietnam. Pictured are the 15 honorees including Sidney Anderson, Donald Campbell, Arthur Corsano, Alva Hollon Jr., William Maroney, Evn Myette, James Peterson, Paul Simick, Lloyd Stowers, Richard VanBrederode, Jerry Wouters, James Wylie, Terrence McManus, Patricia Bradford for Gregory Bradford, Mary Glover for Jack Layman and Tony D’Aleo.
