Del Webb Ponte Vedra residents have lots of ways to get involved and have fun.
There are 37 active clubs and 11 interest groups, all run by residents. The focus of these clubs ranges from ceramics to pickleball. Some of the larger clubs like Men’s Club, Woman’s Club and Poker Club raise thousands of dollars for local charities each year, such as K9s for Warriors, Alpha Omega women’s shelter and Toys for Tots.
Residents at Del Webb Ponte Vedra can live their best lives with so much to do at their fingertips. Lifestyle Director Jacqui Naumann tries to have as many events as possible within a month that will pique the interest of the various age groups and interests.
Recently, Del Webb Ponte Vedra has collaborated with some talented residents to put on a coffee-house-type program called “The Beat” on a quarterly basis. It has everything from acoustic guitar to comedians. The show lasts about 90 minutes and is kept very casual with time for socializing between performances. This is a great way for talented residents to show and share their special gifts.
The community hosts many shows throughout the year, such as the St. Augustine Orchestra, the St. Augustine Concert Band, Crescendo Amelia (pops) along with some other individualized local bands and entertainers.
Larger community events are held around holidays while others are planned quarterly. In April, Del Webb Ponte Vedra hosted an “Adventure Challenge.” Resident teams competed against each other in challenges like can shooting, cup flip and more while solving riddles and puzzles to find their next challenge around the community. This was an action-packed, multifaceted event that received many wonderful reviews.
Other annual events include the Holiday Shopping Extravaganza with more than 40 vendors, the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony with live entertainment and the New Year’s Eve Gala.
Residents are enjoying their best lives in the 30,000-square-foot clubhouse, larger outdoor pool area, party pavilion fitness center, movement studio, indoor lap pool, library, billiards, café, arts-and-crafts room, meeting rooms and the Royal Palm Ballroom with a fully operational kitchen available to residents and clubs.
Del Webb Ponte Vedra has almost 2,000 homes with more than 3,500 residents.
