More than 100 Democratic guests gathered Friday, Dec. 17, to wish each other an in-person holiday greeting and join together for merry-making — and food catered by Bono's Pit Barbecue.
The holiday party was hosted by the Ponte Vedra Democratic Club and the St. Johns Democratic Party.
Guest speakers addressed the audience in order of their upcoming elections: Tracye Polson, who is seeking a seat on Jacksonville City Council; Trish Becker, who is running for re-election to Anastasia Mosquito Control; and Donna Deegan, who is running for Jacksonville mayor.
Members and guests of the Ponte Vedra Democratic Club, the Northwest United for Progress (Durbin/St. Johns area), the Democratic Womens Club of St. Johns County, and the various caucuses came together in anticipation of the year ahead.
