The Betty Griffin Center has coordinated a number of activities throughout St. Johns County in October in conjunction with Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM).

“Working with city and state officials, along with supporters throughout the county, our activities this month help remind us of the survivors of abuse and their loved ones, while celebrating the progress that has been made to end this epidemic and connecting with others working to create change in our community,” said Betty Griffin Center CEO Kelly Franklin.

In support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, all ticket sales at the Magic Hideaway Experience at the Casa Monica Resort & Spa in October will benefit Betty Griffin Center.

Other events planned for October include:

  • 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9 – A DVAM Proclamation from the City of St. Augustine: Lightner Museum, 75 King St., St. Augustine in the Alcazar Room
  • 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10 – A DVAM Proclamation from the St. Johns County School Board and “A Day Without Violence” 2024 calendar awards ceremony for student winners, 40 Orange St, St. Augustine
