Donations to help fund Young Marines’ WWII trip

A new and challenging educational opportunity exists to help the Atlantic Coast Young Marines learn the history of World War II. It will provide valuable history lessons they otherwise might never learn.

A supervised tour is planned for the Young Marines to attend the 2023 D-Day Remembrance in Normandy and tour historic World War II sites in France and Germany. They will experience a moving and unforgettable time standing at the sites of the climactic D-Day invasion and meeting some remaining World War II veterans.
“The goal with this great undertaking is to teach the Atlantic Coast Young Marines in the most direct way possible the great sacrifices that have been made and the need for us to never become passive in our pursuit of justice and freedom,” said Atlantic Coast Young Marines Unit Commander Rosanne Vernon.

The We Can Be Heroes Foundation charity has sponsored the Atlantic Coast Young Marines since 2017. Donations from the community will help We Can Be Heroes sponsor as many Young Marines as possible to be a part of this World War II history tour.
