The DONNA Foundation kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with The DONNA 5K at TPC Sawgrass on Saturday, Oct. 7. Celebrating its 16th running, The DONNA 5K at TPC Sawgrass serves as the final race in the DONNA 2023 Fearless Series.
Over the last two decades, The DONNA Foundation has helped more than 19,000 families living with breast cancer through The DONNA CareLine, contributed more than $3.3 million toward groundbreaking breast cancer research and celebrated survivorship with more than 140,000 athletes across DONNA finish lines, including The National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer.

Funds raised through The DONNA 5K at TPC Sawgrass will support The DONNA Foundation’s mission to provide financial assistance and support to those living with breast cancer and fund groundbreaking breast cancer research.

This event also exemplifies the foundation’s dedication to celebrating survivorship throughout the year, and especially during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The 5K course encompassed the “back nine” of THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass, an attractive stretch of the championship golf course property, beginning near the 10th tee.

Nearly 1,000 runners gathered together for the sold-out race with an additional 50 runners signed up to race virtually.

The foundation raised more than $30,000 with this race to help meet the immediate financial needs of breast cancer patients and their families in the community, as well as for vital, groundbreaking research.

Leading fundraising team NOC’n Out Breast Cancer, which is based in Nocatee, raised $20,000 and presented the foundation a check at the event.
