Feed My Starving Children MobilePack event to return to Jacksonville area in August

Posted

For the second consecutive year, Ponte Vedra Presbyterian Church (PVPC) will host a Jacksonville Area Feed My Starving Children MobilePack event.

Packing event dates will be Aug. 15-17 at PVPC Fellowship Hall located at 4510 Palm Valley Road in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian nonprofit ministry founded in 1987 devoted to providing nutritious meals to starving children in 70-plus countries across the globe. FMSC meals are hand-packed by volunteers and distributed through a network of localized partner organizations. According to a press release from the organization, nearly 1.2 million USA volunteers packed more than 333 million meals in 2018. This year’s FMSC goal is to provide 1 million meals a day for malnourished children worldwide.

Jacksonville area’s 2019 FMSC MobilePack event will pack 147,000 lifesaving meals in three fun-filled days requiring over 800 volunteers. Volunteer online registration begins July 1.

Donations provide the nutritious food ingredients that go into these meals. Community supporters can aid this MobilePack event by making any online size contribution immediately.
