‘First Coast Dancing with the Stars’ raises $114K for Beaches Fine Arts Series

WJCT Studios, Beaches Fine Arts Series’ “First Coast Dancing with the Stars” presented 10 local celebrities, coupled with 10 professional dancers competing for the mirror ball trophies on Sept. 17. In close competition, the winners were:
Champion: Brandice Acree-Landing dancing with pro Sean Anthony.

Acree-Landing is vice president of ERG Global Strategy and employee advocate director for Allstate. Anthony is owner of Studio 904.

First Runner Up: Dr. Avis Chen Boulter dancing with Christian Bastian.

Boulter is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Nemours Children’s Specialty Care.

Bastian is a professional dancer at Dance Alday.

Second Runner Up: Michiko Black dancing with Aleksei Alekseev.

Black, a former professional ballerina, has won national competitions and owned Ballet Studios.

Alekseev is a co-owner of Ballroom Dance Academy.

The event is made possible by the contributions of many businesses in the Jacksonville area, along with the help of volunteers, as well as the team at WJCT.

At the VIP party, Orsay provided an array of hors d’oeuvres, followed by a buffet dinner with Seasons 52, Blue Bamboo, TacoLu, Congaree and Penn, Hamburger Mary’s, The Courageous Spoon, Patrick Lorenzo Catering and SoNapa Grille providing an exciting display of great food. Southern Glazers provided beverages for the event.

Aiding the stars in preparation for their showcases on the dance floor were Tan Like a Celebrity, along with hair and makeup by Carmen Flota, Ashleigh Smith and Tara Berry.
