Flagler Health+ Village at Nocatee holds celebration

After many months of planning and anticipation, the new Flagler Health+ Village at Nocatee finally opened its doors to the public last weekend with a cheerful Holiday Spectacular/Grand Opening event.

As a family-friendly and socially distanced way to celebrate both the holiday season and the new health village, Flagler Health+ invited community members to come to the facilities for a tour, and for an opportunity to show their Christmas spirit.

Upon arrival at the event, families were given a “passport” and told to board a miniature train that would take them on a journey. At each stop, families received a stamp in their passport booklet and given information on the new services now offered in Nocatee. The culmination of the train ride ended with a meet and greet with the one and only Santa Claus.

Elsa and Anna, from the Frozen movies, also made an appearance at the event and greeted children with songs and talk of the holidays.

Kookaburra Coffee, a local company from St. Augustine that also runs a store on the Flagler Health+ Village property, gave away free hot chocolate and cookies.

“This was a way that we could introduce ourselves and our community focus to the residents of Nocatee,” said Gina Mangus, vice president of Strategy and Business Development at Flagler Health+.

Over 300 families attended the event on Saturday, where face masks and social distancing was required but the holiday atmosphere was never tainted.

The Flagler Health+ community brought their compassionate care and total wellness plans to Nocatee for a completely new way of looking at healthcare. The Village offers everything from primary care, orthopedics, concierge medicine, and cardiac care to health coaching, a beautifully landscaped park, a coffee shop, a medical spa, and an array of community classes.

They partnered with the St. Augustine Amphitheater to create a Performance Pavilion, where they have plans to bring live concerts/events throughout the new year.

In an attempt to focus on total wellness, the Village will offer an array of health coaching and classes in their community centers for residents to attend. Just a few events happening in upcoming months include kid’s yoga, orthopedic pre-surgery classes, living with cancer support groups, and even a book signing with a local best-selling author.

Flagler Health+ Village is now accepting new appointments at their Nocatee facility. Interested patients can download the Flagler Health Anywhere app on their smartphones or tablets and select appointments with Nocatee physicians or visit the Flagler Health website.
