Fleet Landing residents are the featured artists for the month of May at the City of Atlantic Beach’s Adele Grage Cultural Center in Bull Park. The artists reception will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 19, at the center, located at 716 Ocean Blvd., Atlantic Beach. More than 20 Fleet Landing artists will participate in the event. The reception is open to the public.

“The Fleet Landing Art Club has been a valuable resource for resident artists and art lovers for decades,” said Pat Payne, art club coordinator. “Many of our artists have exhibited in juried shows, and several have been nationally recognized for their talents and accomplishments. The Adele Grage show is the first outside Fleet Landing, and we are thrilled to share our work with all those who live in the beaches area and beyond.”

Fleet Landing artists will be on hand to greet the public and discuss their work from 5 to 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Originally founded by and for retired military officers, Fleet Landing now welcomes people from all walks of life. It is a nonprofit community serving adults age 62 and older. Fleet Landing offers an independent and active lifestyle, wellness programming, educational, cultural and social events, fine and casual dining, the full continuum of health care services and maintenance-free living on its 95-acre campus.
