Florida Theatre president to speak at Newcomers Alumnae luncheon

Numa Saisselin, president of The Florida Theatre Performing Arts Center, will be the guest speaker at the Nov. 3 Newcomers Alumnae luncheon, which will be held at Marsh Landing Country Club, 25655 Marsh Landing Parkway, Ponte Vedra Beach.

The Florida Theatre is a 1,900-seat theater in downtown Jacksonville that first opened its doors on April 8, 1927. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Florida Theatre Performing Arts Center Inc. is the nonprofit corporation founded in 1987 to manage the historic theater.

The cost to attend this luncheon is $23. Reservations must be made by contacting bartshar@comcast.net as soon as possible in order to reserve a seat. The deadline to sign up is Oct. 29.   

Newcomers Alumnae is a social group comprised of women who live in Ponte Vedra Beach, Nocatee, Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, Jacksonville and St. Augustine.
