Purple Heart Veterans and those who served in the military will be honored at the “Breakfast for Our Heroes” event hosted by the We Can Be Heroes Foundation from 8 to 10 a.m., Aug. 3 at the Applebee’s on J.T. Butler Blvd.
Along with honoring veterans with a complimentary breakfast, the event will also include food collection for local homeless veterans in re-employment programs. Suggested items to donate are individual servings of nonperishable, prepackaged or pop-top canned goods.
