From signing day to Rose Bowl, national championship
Just a couple of weeks after signing to play football with the University of Michigan, Ponte Vedra High’s Jake Guarnera was on the sideline and celebrating a Rose Bowl victory over Alabama on New Years Day.

Jake Guarnera was joined by his family who were in the stands as he was on the field when Michigan defeated Washington to win the College Football Playoff National Championship in Houston on Jan. 8.
Just weeks after signing to play football at the University of Michigan, Ponte Vedra High alum Jake Guarnera found himself on the sidelines for the Rose Bowl and College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
