The glamour of the Gilded Age is coming to the Nation’s Oldest City as the St. Augustine Humane Society prepares to host its 15th Annual Pin Up Paws Gala. Set for Thursday, Oct. 23, at The White Room in downtown St. Augustine, this year’s theme, “The Gilded Paw,” promises an evening of elegance, community spirit and fundraising to benefit pets in need.
Guests will enjoy a lively night of entertainment highlighted by dinner, complimentary wine, a cash bar and live music performed by the House Cats jazz quartet. The festivities also include a wine pull, photo booth, silent auction and the official unveiling of the 2026 Pin Up Paws calendar, which attendees will receive as a keepsake.
“Just as the Gilded Age was a time of transformation, The Gilded Paw represents how our community can transform lives,” said Krista Brown, The Humane Society’s development director. “When people come together in support of pets, we create a legacy of care, love and hope for animals and families in St. Augustine.”
The 2026 Pin Up Paws calendar, revealed at the gala, is the centerpiece of the Humane Society’s annual campaign. This year’s contest raised $43,120 through the efforts of participants and community supporters, and the finished calendar will feature a museum-inspired theme in keeping with The Gilded Paw.
All proceeds from the gala and auction directly benefit the Humane Society’s programs, including affordable spay and neuter surgeries, preventive veterinary care and outreach services.
The gala coincides with the Humane Society’s annual Pin Up Paws Auction, which opened online Sept. 29 and runs through Nov. 1 at PUPauction.org. Supporters can bid on an array of unique items, experiences and gift packages, with new items added daily. Those unable to attend the gala can still participate by joining the online bidding.
Festivities begin at 6 p.m. at The White Room, 1 King St. Free parking will be available at Trinity Parish Parking Lot, 225 St. George St., St. Augustine. While the gala celebrates pets, the event cannot accommodate them, so furry friends are asked to sit this one out.
