The Palm Valley Community Association, in collaboration with the Ponte Vedra Community Association, will host a candidate forum for St. Johns County District 7 State Senator and District 18 State Representative candidates on June 25.

The event will be held in the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library Community Room. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the event will begin at 6 p.m.

All qualified candidates for these offices who have been certified by the Florida Division of Elections to appear on the August 2024 Primary Election ballot are expected to participate. The current office holders, Sen. Travis Hutson and Rep. Cyndi Stevenson, have termed out of their positions.

The Ponte Vedra Beach Candidate Forum is a nonpartisan event ensuring a fair discussion. An experienced moderator will lead the process, during which candidates will answer questions and present their positions on issues of interest to St. Johns County voters.

“We're always looking for opportunities to encourage constructive discussion on issues of importance to our community,” said Greg Leonard, president of the Palm Valley Community Association. “We are delighted to partner with the Ponte Vedra Community Association on this first of two candidate forums this summer.”

“We are thrilled to join the Palm Valley Community Association to engage and educate our community,” added Scott Pearson, president of the Ponte Vedra Community Association. “This event and others will continue to deliver on that effort.”
