Jill Ilene Hornsby, age 88, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, passed away June 19, 2024. She was born February 21, 1936, to James and Ruth Ingraham in Oregon, IL. Jill was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt to so many. Her journey took her to many places. After growing up in Oregon, IL, she moved to Jacksonville Beach, FL, to attend Jacksonville University. After living in Savannah, GA then Dixon, IL she returned to Florida in 1997, this time to her beloved Ponte Vedra.
She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Hornsby, of Ponte Vedra, FL, children Mark Taylor (Ruth) of Tybee Island, GA, Chris Hornsby (Patty) of Denver, CO, and Sarah Hornsby (Pedro) of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and grandchildren Carson Taylor, Dylan Taylor, Madeline Hornsby, William Hornsby, Gabriel Gadelha, and Luiza Gadelha.
Jill was preceded in death by her parents, and beloved sisters, Jackie Muhlbaier, Susan Wood, and Sandra Hawkins, and her brother Richard Ingraham.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Ponte Vedra to commemorate the impact she had on the lives of those around her.
