Junior Achievement of North Florida will be hosting a Virtual Trivia Night on June 9 to raise money to support local JA programs for students from kindergarten to 12th grade. JA of North Florida is currently signing up teams to participate in the online fundraiser which will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Individuals can join a team or create their own, just visit janfl.org and click on JA Events.

“We encourage everyone to grab friends, co-workers or family members for a fun night of trivia while helping support the future of our youth,” said Tiffany Mackey Guthrie, director of development for JA of North Florida. “Teams can set their own fundraising goals and work together to reach those goals. Each $25 raised will help support one student. We hope we can raise enough to help at least 300 students learn financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship.”

Teams can have up to six people and the event will be limited to 20 teams. Each team member will be given access to a fundraising site that will allow them to easily reach out to others for support to help raise money for JA of North Florida.

Prizes will be given for the first, second and third place trivia teams. There will also be a prize for the top team fundraiser and top individual fundraiser. For more information, contact Tiffany Mackey Guthrie at tiffany@janfl.org. The JA Virtual Trivia Night was created to replace the bowl-a-thon that was set for June 9 before the COVID-19 pandemic.
