Goodbye 2022. Hello 2023. Ring in the new year at an event hosted by the Junior Service League of St. Augustine. A New Year’s Eve Gala — Party with a Purpose will be held from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Dec. 31 at the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park, 11 Magnolia Ave., St. Augustine. Dance to the live music of Chillula. Guests will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres, with a carving station by World Plate Caterer, and an open bar. Count down to the New Year with a champagne toast.
Other gala activities include a photo booth, charitable gambling and a silent auction.
Tickets are $175 per guest and all proceeds go to help area nonprofits supported by the Junior Service League of St. Augustine.
Each year, JSL provides funding for local nonprofit organizations. Last year’s gala raised $40,000.
In addition to the New Year’s Eve event, the JSL has created a 2023 Heroes and Pups Photo Calendar featuring local law enforcement alongside precious pups. Photographer and real estate agent Suzanne Henry donated hours to shooting and editing these photos. Dennis Lockwood donated his time to format the calendar and prepare it for print.
