The Landrum Lions have capped off a sensational football season with a commanding 21-8 victory in the championship game, showcasing their dedication, teamwork and hard work.
Quarterback Hudson Cleek led the offense with a stellar 62% completion rate, more than 1,500 passing yards and 16 touchdowns. His connection with standout receiver Evan Sproull, who tallied 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns on 39 receptions, was a driving force behind the team’s success. Nate Bestic also shone, contributing 450 rushing yards, 300 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns, while Coleton Ritch and Eston Wardell delivered crucial catches throughout the season.
The Lions’ defense, led by Jace Murchison with 75 tackles, 3 forced fumbles and 2 interceptions, was equally formidable. Key contributions came from Bennett Zimmer, Brody Maddox and Andrew Delgado, with a combined 18 sacks. Sproull and Bestic added versatility on defense, with Bestic’s championship-sealing pick-six capping an extraordinary effort.
