Leadership Jacksonville, an organization that educates, connects and inspires diverse leaders to build and strengthen their communities, is accepting applications for its adult Leadership Jacksonville Class of 2022.

The year-long program brings together more than 50 leaders from throughout the First Coast community to build relationships with other leaders, explore community issues and perspectives and work to become better community trustees.

The Leadership Jacksonville program creates a collaborative space for open dialogue between leaders with diverse perspectives to address major areas of community concern such as poverty, education, arts, economic growth and more.

To be considered for Leadership Jacksonville, applicants must complete an online application and may be invited for an interview. The selection is highly competitive, and an effort is made to select participants who represent a broad cross-section of the community.

This Leadership Jacksonville class will begin on Aug. 27, 2021, and continue through June 2022. The program includes nine program days and two weekend retreats.

Applications are accepted online through Jan. 25. To apply or learn more about Leadership Jacksonville and its programs, go to www.leadershipjax.org or call (904) 396-6263.

“Participants from 44 classes have completed this flagship program with a better understanding of our community’s issues and assets,” said Jill Langford Dame, chief executive officer of Leadership Jacksonville. “They continue to use their new connections and what they learn to make a positive difference.”
