The Young & Volen Team at Ponte Vedra Club Realty is sponsoring a blog writing scholarship open to 12th graders in St. Johns and Duval counties.
Students are asked to submit a 500-1,000-word blog post highlighting something interesting or informative about the community. The top five blog posts from all submissions will be published on the Ponte Vedra Focus Blog, a community blog covering the northeast Florida area.
The overall winner will receive a $1,000 educational scholarship. The deadline for submission is March 15, 2019.
Gwinn Volen, founder of the Ponte Vedra Focus blog, and her business partner, Jayne Young, are excited to introduce this annual writing scholarship into the community.
“I have loved learning and writing about our area over the past five years," Volen said. "I’m looking forward to reading a fresh perspective on the community through the eyes of local students.”
