Tell us about your background and where you are from.
I grew up in the beautiful Thousand Islands area of Upstate New York near the Canadian border. In March 2000 I had an opportunity that turned into a one-way ticket from Syracuse to Jacksonville when I transferred from Smith Barney in Watertown, N.Y., to Smith Barney in Ponte Vedra. I left Smith Barney in 2010 when they merged with Morgan Stanley.
Tell us about the different hats you wear.
Anyone who knows me knows I like to keep busy. I’m currently the operations manager at Harbor View Advisors, a private owned investment banking and consulting firm in Ponte Vedra. I’m proud to be a team member of Harbor View. Our firm has won “Best Place to Work” in Jacksonville a few times! I have worked part time at TPC Sawgrass in the golf shop as a sales associate since 2000 and I am an independent fashion stylist representing a well-known brand. It’s a direct sales company headquartered in California in which I feel I offer direct service to my clientele.
How do you juggle all those jobs?
It is easy. When you are busy, you learn how to manage your time better. It’s as simple as that.
What got you interested in fashion?
At a very young age, fashion became my passion when I would save a portion of my allowance and treat myself to some fashionable clothing. I tell my clientele, “When you look good, you feel good and you do good!”
Speaking of doing good, shed some light on that.
I’ve been active in the Ponte Vedra Chamber of Commerce for several years as an ambassador, a board member, and recently returned to an ambassador role. I’ve been a member of the Ponte Vedra Women’s Civic Alliance Association since 2011. In addition, I’ve supported local charities very near and dear to my heart such as Chemo Noir, Rethreaded, The Donna Foundation, The New School (Dewitt, New York) and K-9s for Warriors.
In your free time what do you like to do?
I love to play golf, especially with my husband, Jeff, who, by the way, I met on the practice facility at TPC Sawgrass in 2000. We were married in 2002. We enjoy hanging out at home with our two cats, Buster and Mister. They are brothers who we adopted three years ago from Katz 4 Keeps, a rescue shelter that no longer exists. I have a love for horses and horse racing, enjoy reading and connecting with family and friends. I like to wine and dine, too! I look forward to travelling again, especially to my hometown area of Watertown and Sackets Harbor, New York, near the St. Lawrence River.
Do you have a favorite quote?
I’ve always admired Audrey Hepburn and the following quote of hers strikes a chord with me. It goes like this. “Nothing is impossible. The word itself, says I’m possible!”
