Medure Brothers Culinary Concepts recently opened the doors today to its newest restaurant, Midtown Table. Located near Jacksonville’s St. John’s Town Center 5016 Gate Parkway, Midtown Table is designed to be a family-friendly restaurant featuring what the Medure brothers, Matthew and David call, “inspired Italian cuisine.”

Said Matthew Medure, “Midtown Table brings to this part of town a unique, chef-inspired experience and we’re excited to share all that we’ve put into this restaurant with our guests.”

Midtown Table is actually opening a week earlier than planned. Under the guidance of newly hired Chef de Cuisine, Justin Rohloff, the team spent more than a month of training, hiring and practicing (and all while the restaurant was being finished around them). The restaurant hosted several practice dinners with friends and family and some internal mock dinners designed to give the staff some live experience before opening.

The final Family & Friends dinner was hosted on Friday, Jan. 17 and the restaurant was closed over the weekend to evaluate their processes, recipes and flow.

As it turned out, “Everything came together so well, and we are too excited to wait another week” Rohloff said. “We’re eager to share the Midtown Table experience and open the doors.  I give credit to front of the house staff for doing such a great job preparing the servers and bar staff.”
