It’s a beautiful time of year here in Ponte Vedra Beach. We just wrapped up a phenomenal week of golf during TPC week. March proved to be a great move allowing for cooler temperatures and challenging greens for our star-studded tournament. After a tremendous round on Sunday, Rory McIlroy can now add his name to the list of champions of THE PLAYERS.
As we turn our attention to enjoying the season, we invite you to get out and take in all that our beautiful beach community has to offer before the temperatures go up. School will be out in a few months and summer will be here before you know it.
The St. Johns County Chamber PVB Division has a few upcoming events that we want to make sure you have on your calendar. Join us April 11 for our Annual State of the Beaches luncheon with JAX Chamber, where leaders representing the four Beaches cities will update attendees on current projects and provide an overview of what to expect in the New Year. Keynotes speaker will include: District 4 Commissioner Jeremiah Blocker, Ponte Vedra Beach; Mayor Elaine Brown, Neptune Beach; Mayor Charlie Latham, Jacksonville Beach; and Mayor Ellen Glasser, Atlantic Beach.
May always marks the time of the year when we take time to recognize you — our members during our Membership Appreciation Awards. These outstanding members go above and beyond to make our community a great place to live, work and play! The event is always a fun opportunity where we take the time to award outstanding members for their commitment to the Chamber with awards such as the Rookie of the Year Award and the Crushing It Award. The date is May 29 — we hope to see you there!
