Beaches Museum welcomes new executive board
The Beaches Area Historical Society, the organization which operates the Beaches Museum & History Park, has announced the 2016-2017 executive board. Jack Schmidt and Michael Wainer will take the reins as president and vice president. They are joined on the executive board by Secretary Brigetta Lamsback and Treasurer Sam Hall.
New board members Bruce Barber, Dana Voiselle, Brant Lambert, Chris Shea, Randy Hayes, Susan Miller and Noriko Stern will join veteran members Neil McGuinness, Linda Lanier, Robert Boulay, William Carter and Jacqueline Williams.
Jimerson & Cobb named among America’s fastest-growing law firms
Jacksonville law firm Jimerson & Cobb, P.A., was named one of the fastest-growing law firms in the country at the inaugural Law Firm 500 conference and awards gala held last month.
Jimerson & Cobb ranked number 28 in the top 100 fastest-growing law firms in the United States. Recipients were honored at an Oct. 15 gala in Miami.
Earlier this year, Jimerson & Cobb was recognized by “Jacksonville Business Journal” for the fourth consecutive year as one of the 50 fastest-growing companies in Northeast Florida.

Robyn Branch awarded first place by ASID
Robyn Branch took first place for a space under 3,000 square feet at the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Florida North American Society of Interior Designers 2016 competition, recently held in Ponte Vedra.
The prize-winning Windsong townhome belongs to Amelia Island residents Kristen and Wally Mulholland.
A design associate and ASID member, Branch owns and operates Robyn Branch Designs, an interior design business based in Fernandina Beach. The Robyn Branch Design team is comprised of Branch, Ellen Lupone, Andrea Adair, Robin Whitfield and Phoebe Ricard.
LEE teachers awarded ‘Most Valued Educator,’ ‘Teacher of Promise’ awards
Donna Guzzo, Language Exploration Enrichment (LEE) operations administrator for the St. Johns County Schools, was presented with the “Most Valued Educator” award for the fifth consecutive year at the annual Florida Foreign Language Association conference in Orlando Oct. 20.
Alejandra Rivera was presented with the “Teacher of Promise” award, which recognizes outstanding educators in their first three years in the profession.
LEE was founded in 2003. Its mission is to encourage all students to explore world languages and cultures. The goal is to introduce children to world cultures through classroom lessons, discussions, activities, technology, crafts, songs, games, etc.
LEE is designed as an after-school service to students in 14 schools within St. Johns County: Durbin Creek, Julington Creek, Cunningham Creek, Hickory Creek, Timberlin Creek, Liberty Pines Academy, R.B. Hunt Elementary, Ketterlinus, Palencia, Valley Ridge Academy, Patriot Oaks Academy, Ocean Palms Elementary, PVPV/Rawlings and Mill Creek.
