The Nease Panthers football team defeated Yulee 20-14 on the road on Friday night behind another strong defensive outing.

It was the third consecutive win for the Panthers, as they improved to 4-1 on the season.

The Panthers jumped out to an early lead and found themselves on top 17-7 at halftime thanks to an interception return for a touchdown by senior linebacker Ben Bogle.

The score capped what was a big day for Bogle, as he announced on Twitter earlier in the day that he had received his first college offer to play football from Arkansas State.

Canaan Kimball knocked through a field goal in the second half and Yulee made it close, but the Panthers never lost the lead during the contest.

After being on the road the past two weeks, the Panthers return to “the jungle” to face district foe First Coast at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1.
