The Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach installed its new president, Jennifer Logue, on Thursday, June 30, at the club’s final meeting of the 2022-23 year, held at Marsh Landing Country Club.

Logue succeeds Ronald “Doc” Renuart, who offered a review of the club’s many activities and accomplishments achieved during the past Rotary year.

In addition to donating more than $90,000 to local charities and nonprofit organizations from the club’s Mineral City Celebration, Renuart noted, club members contributed to Rotary International’s efforts to eradicate polio and aid the people of Ukraine.

Ponte Vedra Beach Rotarians also participated in numerous local service projects — from conducting regular cleanups of A1A and volunteering for Habitat to Humanity to preparing dinner for cancer and organ transplant patients at Gabriel House of Care.

The club also held its annual Local Heroes Awards, honoring the “unsung heroes” in the community.

In addition to thanking the board of directors for its support, Renuart presented the Rookie of the Year Award to new member Byron Miller. The Rotarian of the Year Award, meanwhile, was presented to Lorraine Dorsa in recognition of her longstanding exemplary service as club treasurer.

The Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach holds weekly breakfast meetings at 7:30 a.m. at Marsh Landing Country Club. To learn about becoming a member or for more information, contact pvbrotaryclub@gmail.com.
