St. Johns County accepting beach toll attendant applications

St. Johns County will begin accepting beach toll attendant applications between 1 p.m. and
5 p.m. on Jan. 11, 13 and 15. Those interested in this seasonal position are encouraged to visit the St. Johns County Pier Pavilion at 350 A1A Beach Blvd. to obtain and complete an application. The season will begin the last week of February and end the last weekend in September. Toll attendants will be responsible for selling vehicle beach access passes and providing customer service for St. Johns County beach visitors. Ponte Vedra Democratic Club to hold Zoom meeting Feb. 10

The Ponte Vedra Democratic Club will host a non-contiguous 2021 series on the three branches of government in a Zoom meeting Feb. 10.

The virtual event, scheduled for 6:30 p.m., will take a look at The White House and its role as the executive branch of government. What can — and can’t — it do? Jacksonville University political science professor Dr. Austin Trantham will present. This meeting will also feature the vote to accept the slate of candidates for PV Dems Club officers and board members presented at the January meeting. Sunshine Bus Company offers free rides to patrons with SJC library card

The St. Johns County Public Library is partnering with the St. Johns County Council on Aging to offer library patrons a way to travel around town easier.
Beginning in January 2021, Sunshine Bus riders may present their St. Johns County Public Library card to the bus driver to receive a free ride on the first Wednesday of each month. Up to three children, ages 12 and under, may also ride with a qualifying adult at no cost.
