Family seining at GTM Research Reserve

A guided family seining activity will be held 9-11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, at Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve. Learn about the animals and their roles in Guana Lake by pulling a seine net and collecting species of fish, crabs and other marine life.

All necessary gear (waders and boots) will be provided. The event is free, but parking is $3 per vehicle. Hat, insect repellent, water and sunscreen are recommended.

Mega Open House Weekend set for March 11-12
