Jewish Meet & Greet planned

As St. Johns County continues to rapidly grow, many Jewish families have moved to the area, and this is the perfect opportunity for people to meet their Jewish neighbors. A meet and greet, featuring music, cocktails and an exquisite Shabbat dinner will take place at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at the Nocatee Crosswater Hall.

The event is open to the whole family — so bring your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and the kids. Meet new friends or hang out with old ones, while your children are entertained by a magic show and games just for them.

As Shabbat sets in, there will be a brief candle-lighting ceremony for women and a joyous welcoming of Shabbat. From the Kiddush and Matzah ball soup, to the meaningful discussions and Shabbat inspiration, Jewish people all around the world have relied on Shabbat as a day of connection.

No membership or affiliation is necessary to join.

Reservations are required and can be made at www.JewishSJohnsCounty.com/Meet
