Lee Anderson Louy has joined the North Florida Land Trust as the director of philanthropic services.
Louy will lead the fundraising arm of the nonprofit land conservation organization, which includes the Amelia Forever Campaign, the campaign to save the Small Islands, the O2O Wildlife Corridor Campaign and the general donation campaign, which helps the nonprofit with acquisitions, stewardship and operating costs.
Louy will work closely with NFLT President Jim McCarthy to expand the donor base and will be responsible for promoting NFLT’s programs throughout Northeast Florida.
“Lee has an impressive background and has proven success in fundraising on the level that our nonprofit needs to continue to conserve lands throughout North Florida,” said McCarthy. “We are excited to have Lee on board and I looked forward to working closely with her to reach more prospective donors that will help us achieve our goals.”
Louy received her doctorate of education and master’s in public administration from the University of North Florida. She earned her bachelor's degree from Florida State University in recreation and leisure services administration. She most recently served as director of development for UNF’s College of Education and Human Services where she was able to secure $8.3 million in gifts and commitments since June of 2017.
Louy also served in development positions for UNF’s Academic Affairs and Brooks College of Health. Prior to her work with the university, she was the director for the Bennie Furlong Senior Center for the City of Jacksonville.
Louy earned the CFRE designation; a certified fundraising executive credential that is recognized worldwide. The Jacksonville native and Jacksonville Beach resident is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and UNF’s Pi Alpha Alpha Chapter. She has served on the Association of Fundraising Professional’s Philanthropy Day Board and the Beaches Council on Aging.
