The No. 1-ranked Nease Panthers handled business against the Tate High Aggies en route to a 42-14 win in the first round of the FHSAA Class 6A football playoffs.
The Panthers jumped out to a 21-7 halftime lead thanks to a pair of rushing touchdowns from K.J. Perry and a receiving touchdown to Maddox Spencer, who took over one drive with three of the four plays drawn up going to him.
The Panthers never looked back from there and looked every bit the part of a top seed and the No. 1 team in Class 6A.
Next up for the Panthers is a second-round contest at home against the Oakleaf Knights, who defeated the Mandarin Mustangs 17-14 to advance.
