PAStA Fine Art Gallery hosts First Coast Plein Air Painters exhibit

The Professional Artists of St. Augustine (PAStA) Fine Art Gallery, of 214 Charlotte St., St. Augustine, recently announced that the First Coast Plein Air Painters (FCPAP) are exhibiting of their members’ works at the gallery for the entire month of September.

A reception for the award-winning group was held on First Friday Artwalk on Sept. 1. The members’ works will not only be shown, but are also available for sale throughout the month.

“We are incredibly honored to have as our first hosted exhibition, the First Coast Plein Air Painters,” said Valarie Pothier-Forrester, PAStA president, artist member and member of FCPAP. “Many of the regional artists that are members of FCPAP, can often be found downtown St. Augustine, busily capturing the beauty of this unique city and the surrounding areas.”

The First Coast Plein Air Painters is a group of enthusiastic and dedicated plein air painters based in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. They maintain a strong membership that paints outdoors together regularly, provides exhibition opportunities and supports the community with demonstrations and fundraising.

Professional Artists of St. Augustine was founded in 1982 by Jean Wagner Troemel, a champion of the art and founder of the Winter Haven Ridge Art Association who served on the Florida Arts Group Board. She spearheaded St. Augustine’s First Friday Art Walks.

The gallery has served an international clientele a wealth of local talent and award-winning artists. The gallery’s mission is to showcase local and regional art and to educate and encourage area artists.
