The second annual Smoothie King Crown Cup Pickleball Tournament benefiting the MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at Argyle Forest Park, 8533 Acanthus Drive, Jacksonville.
The purpose of the tournament is to rally community members and businesses to support the MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation’s (MWYF) mission of developing champions in classrooms, on tennis courts and throughout communities through funds raised at the event.
The tournament will feature multiple divisions for players in men’s and women's doubles and mixed doubles, ranging from 3.0 to 4.5 skill levels with a back-to-back round-robin format. Each team plays a minimum of three matches and playoffs for first- to third-place medals. The event will feature DJ Hollywood and a festival-like atmosphere with sponsors/vendors supporting.
MWYF is a Jacksonville-based youth development program that empowers young individuals through academic assistance, life skills, mentorship and tennis programs. The foundation is dedicated to providing comprehensive support for students, nurturing their potential and fostering positive growth.
