Ponte Vedra 8U All-Star Baseball Team plays well in State Tournament

After beating all three teams in its qualifier group in June in Lake City, the Ponte Vedra Boys 8U All-Star Baseball Team (7- and 8-year-olds) recently competed in the State Tournament held in early July in West Palm Beach. The Sharks played their way into the quarterfinals but lost their next match against another Jacksonville team, FCAA Thunder, in a riveting, back-and-forth game. The team includes: Nate Bestic (shortstop), Anderson Brady (second base), Ryan Kolhoff (first base), Evan Sproull (pitcher), Jackson Daughtry and Tanner Burger (third base), Ryne Barkey (catcher), Cole Giurato (left field), Daylen Brown (left center), Tommy Weiss (right center), Jakob Radicioni and Sutton Walling (right field). Nine of this year's players will be returning for the 2019 8U All-Star team.
