Ponte Vedra High School student Cole Alexander Kelley, 14, died after driving into the
Intracoastal Waterway early Wednesday, Dec. 4.
Kelley was driving a SUV when he went off the embankment of a small San Pablo Road bridge.
According to St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Chuck Mulligan, Kelley resides at the
private property where the crash occurred.
Mulligan reported that Kelley was the only person in the vehicle, which was pulled from the
water by St. Johns County rescue workers.
