Ponte Vedra Writers Hosts Open Mic session

Posted

Each month the Ponte Vedra Writers meeting offers professional writing workshops designed to help area authors improve their craft. This month, writers take the stage to share their work with their peers during the annual Open Mic session, Saturday, November 23 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.

Each participating author will have five to ten minutes (depending on the number of readers) to read an excerpt from a selection of his or her choice. The selection can be a work in progress or from a completed and/or published work, fiction, nonfiction, or poetry. The November 23 meeting is free and open to FWA members and non-members alike. Anyone wishing to participate should contact FWA Regional Director and group leader Vic DiGenti in advance of the meeting at vicdig@mac.com.

The Ponte Vedra Writers group is part of the Florida Writers Association, a statewide non-profit organization with nearly 1,500 members dedicated to the support of both aspiring and published writers in any genre. For information on FWA, please visit www.floridawriters.net.
