The Beaches Fine Arts Series will present organist Cameron Carpenter at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at St. John’s Cathedral, 256 E. Church Street, Jacksonville. Doors open at 3:15 p.m. Seating is first come, first served. Admission is free. The Signature Concert sponsor is Lory Doolittle.

Carpenter is the world’s most visible organist, the first-ever to be nominated for a Grammy Award for a solo album. He holds the 2012 Leonard Bernstein Award, and in 2014, launched his International Touring Organ, a first-of-its kind digital organ built to his own design.

Carpenter will perform Bach’s “Goldberg Variations” (BWV 988), named after Johann Gottlieb Goldberg, who may have been its first performer. He will also perform Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at and Exhibition,” based on works by artist Viktor Hartmann.
